If anything is true, it is the slogan "Driving in the last paradise". The fantastic roads and passes made up for the hardships endured by drivers and vehicles. Sun, rain and hail with a doomsday atmosphere provided the teams with amusing entertainment and wet feet... In a thrilling finish and literally on the last meter, Sebastian Klackl / Gernot Kronberger with their Porsche 356 still overtook the Porsche 914/6 of Pius Weckerle / Stefan Hommel: the clocks recorded seven hundredths of a second as the difference between first and second place - and this after two tough days with a good 850 km and 24 special stages. And as usual, the car manufacturers opened the doors of their museums and brought the noble family silver to Styria. There were classic cars on display, the quality and density of which is otherwise only achieved at the Mille Miglia or Goodwood.
