If 30,000 people voluntarily stand in a traffic jam and even have fun doing it, then there must be a very special reason - or they are completely crazy. Or both are the case. Every two years, the peak season on France's vacation route of the fifties and sixties is recreated in Lapalisse. We were there in the '53 DeSoto.
