In its first year of existence, the Autohalle Andelfingen north of Winterthur has already successfully established itself as a classic car center and meeting point. To further strengthen this trend, the team led by Thomas Meister and Simon Schmid launched the "Autohalle Sunday Classics". This brand-independent social gathering took place for the first time on June 26, 2022.

Anyone who owns an older car and fancied a sausage, a burger, a cold beer or a tasty meal in the Autohalle restaurant was welcome to attend. Anyone who simply wanted a coup (ice cream combination) or simply wanted to meet up with colleagues was also very welcome.
Lots of traffic
In fact, the word-of-mouth advertising and social media activities had worked well, with new classic cars constantly arriving in front of the Autohalle from nine o'clock onwards and Simon Schmid and his team had their hands full positioning the individual vehicles. There wasn't even enough time to count all the cars.

"No matter," said Simon Schmid, "there were great cars that you always enjoy looking at." From the Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider to the Trabant or VW Beetle, everything was there that was fun to drive and bore witness to the street scene of days gone by. There were also real rarities such as a Moretti 850, an early Ford Anglia or an elegant Chrysler Royal Coupé from the 1940s.
And beautiful motorcycles and historic mopeds were not missing either.
Colorful picture
The variety of automobiles produced a colorful picture, in keeping with the mobile cultural heritage. Visitors were invited to take a closer look at the car showroom. However, they could also simply explore the building on their own and came across the well-equipped workshop on the first floor or parts of the classic car rental fleet in the event room or in a neighboring garage building.

This gave prospective tenants a good opportunity to ask for details or inspect the object of their desire in person. Here's another insider tip: Ford Mustangs are particularly popular with tenants. It's important to act quickly if you want to enjoy a ride in a rental pony car while you still have time.
