After years of abstinence in the luxury sports car market, Alfa Romeo finally had a serious sports car to offer again with the GTV 6, which is also equipped with a wonderful V6-cylinder engine. The AR testers were thoroughly impressed, if not enthusiastic, which they summarized as follows: "The Alfa Romeo GTV 6 2.5 is one of the few real driving machines still in existence that is a lot of fun to drive, whereby the high performance fortunately does not have to be paid for with high fuel consumption thanks to the fuel-injected V6 engine. Apart from a few complaints, mainly concerning the gearshift and ventilation, the racy coupé was able to impress throughout the test."
