With the 124, Fiat presented a car that was at the lower end of the mid-size class in terms of engine capacity, but whose engine power, spaciousness and possible driving performance were far higher. Four doors, a powerful engine, plenty of space and excellent roadholding were offered at an unusually attractive price. This test report explains whether the Fiat 124 had to fight for its market share in Germany in 1966.
