With the R16 TX, Renault offered fans of fast family saloons a variant with more power and less thirst. However, not all the features of the new Renault were well received. The magazine 'hobby' had two testers report independently of each other in order to get as much objectivity as possible into the criticism. However, the two test drivers largely agreed on the strengths and weaknesses of the R16 TX. This article reproduces the original wording of the test report in a newly edited form and shows the fast French car in many pictures and in the original sales brochure.
