The Giulietta from Alfa Romeo was a fine lady. Especially as a spider, it impressed above all with its beautiful design, as one was accustomed to from the Milanese. Over time, however, there was criticism of its performance. It was time to grow up and so the Giulietta became a Giulia. In 1963, the open Giulia with 1600 engine was extensively tested, this report reproduces the original wording and shows the car in historical pictures.

Giulia is a lady with a past. She started out small as a Giulietta with 1300 cc and has already made a name for herself with this displacement. In Sporttahrer circles, people talked about her temperament and at the regulars' table about her moods. Even the man who was supposed to introduce her to Germany's automotive gourmets remained firm in the face of such frivolous temptation. He cheated on Giulietta with another "lady" - air-cooled. In the meantime, everything called Alfa is now managed by the parent company in Germany. A few years have also passed in the meantime, and people talk less about the whims and more about the driving performance. And that with awe, because the Giulietta was unbeatable in sport and in its class. It even beat bigger cars, even those favored by the aforementioned advertising manager.
