Introduced in 1972 with the 1800/121 hp engine and in 1975 with the 1600/108 hp engine, Alfa Romeo offered an interesting car for gourmets on a tight budget with the Alfetta. The Alfetta embodied the step into the next generation of Alfa Romeo mid-range cars and offered the best chassis among the 1.6-liter cars. This test report explains how the Alfetta 1.6 fared in comparison with the 1.8 version and other Alfa machines.
