... Gilbern G.T. is supplied complete, in ready for the road trim, and is also available in kit form for very easy home assembly. It is a high performance car of high quality at a reasonable price. Overall dimensions are: length 12' 6", width 5', height 4' 2-}" and the kerbside weight is only 15j cwt. Despite the smallness of the car, it is a genuine fourseater, providing ample head and leg room for the tallest driver, combined with a very comfortable driving position. THE CHASSIS: A semi spaceframe of electrically welded large section steel tubing, the extreme rigidity of which is largely responsible for the exceptional roadholding and handling characteristics of the car. THE BODY: A glassfibre resin construction of simple and pleasing design. The shell is moulded in one piece having, therefore, superior strength and stability. It is important to note that doors, boot and bonnet are hinged direct to the chassis, leaving the securely mounted body free to perform the sole function of protecting the car and its occupants. No stresses are carried by the bodyshell, which has, as a result, greatly increased durability. The extra long and deep doors are hinged to swing clear of the door opening, thus giving easy access to both front and rear seats.
