It is completely reliable and has been adopted on the world's fastest racing cars, which is a demonstration of its ability to stand the roughest usage. It is also the most costly form of gearbox to manufacture and is therefore exclusive to quality cars. A further advantage is that all intermediate gears are silent in operation. It is a gearbox that makes the novice an expert and enables even the expert to obtain a better performance.
