Stock piles are building up. Engines are merging with other completed production units of the car. Bodies and chassis, as you see, are moving on the actual production lines, blazing the way for early mass produc tion." He reported the company has a chance of obtaining the big surplus wartime steel plant in Cleveland, which will insure ample basic supplies for high Tucker production. Three bids have been submitted to the government for this great blast furnace facility. He said he has sufficient steel "lined up" for present production schedules of 125 cars by June. More basic materials, he said, will be needed to reach the goal of 120 cars an hour for which the plant is being tooled.
