Large front and rear spoilers were still very rarely fitted to production cars in Europe in the early 1970s, but in 1974 BMW fitted very eye-catching air deflectors straight out of the wind tunnel to the elegant BMW coupé of the E9 series. On the road, the wings provided more downforce, but in terms of value development, they provided a lot of lift, especially in recent years. This vehicle report tells the story of the Munich lightweight coupé and shows it in historical and current pictures.
