In 2015, I bought an Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1300, built in 1973, in Naples for € 5250. A Giulia like this was my first car 38 years earlier. In an adventurous journey, I drove the little Juliet to Moosburg in Bavaria on my own wheels. The car was in condition 3-4, i.e. in need of renovation. The starter motor had given up on the transfer journey, two cylinders had poor compression and several rust holes had to be repaired. I've been a passionate car mechanic for 50 years now, but I've never had any training in the trade. However, it turned out that common sense and asking friends and acquaintances for advice, and especially on the Internet, gets you pretty far.The car used to be dark red and had only acquired its white paintwork in the course of its eventful life.
