Summary
Over two days, RM/Sotheby's auctioned 103 cars and a Vespa as well as some automobilia on the occasion of the Monaco Grand Prix Historique. Jody Scheckter's formula car collection had generated a lot of interest in the run-up to the event. These were then sold at surprisingly high prices in some cases, while rally cars were less successful. Some Aston Martin sports cars also attracted unexpectedly high bids. This auction report analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in the picture.

Preview (beginning of the article)
RM/Sotheby's used the Grand Prix Historique of Monaco to organize a two-day auction in which 104 vehicles and some automobilia went under the hammer. The cars, including the one Vespa, had been estimated at almost EUR 62 million in advance. 48% of them were offered without a reserve price. At 84%, the sales rate at the end of the two auction days was relatively high. Once again, the bidders on the telephones and on the Internet, without whom it simply wouldn't work today, contributed to this. On average, the cars on offer were around 44 years old. Four of the 108 registered vehicles had already been withdrawn before the auction began.
