Photo Gallery «RM/Sotheby's London Online Auction 2020 - exaggerated expectations or lockdown fears?»
RM/Sotheby's had originally planned to hold a traditional auction on the occasion of the London-Brighton Race on the weekend of October 31, 2020, but after the event was canceled, the only option was to move forward. RM opted for an online auction. 69 vehicles, including two tractors and a boat, went under the virtual hammer alongside some automobilia between October 26 and 31, 2020. The estimated value was around £17.2 million, but at the end of the five days, only £3 million was realized because more than half of the cars, especially many of the super classics, did not find a new owner. This auction report analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
