Photo Gallery «RM/Sotheby's Amelia Island 2019 - the older cars surprised more than the younger ones»
The RM/Sotheby's auction for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elégance lasted two days. On March 8 and 9, 2019, 141 vehicles went under the hammer, including a motorcycle. Around USD 463,000 (EUR 411,000) had been expected per lot, USD 325,000 (EUR 289,445) was realized. The average age was just over 53 years, with a particularly large number of Polish cars. Around 40 pre-war cars were matched by roughly the same number of youngtimers and neoclassics. Only two of the five most expensive cars were sold. However, there were surprises among both very old and newer vehicles. This report analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
