On August 20 and 21, 2016, Gooding & Company auctioned 138 cars and two motorcycles in Pebble Beach, with an average estimated value of around USD 1.3 million. Four cars were worth over USD 10 million to their new owners: two Ferraris, an Alfa Romeo and a Bugatti. Overall, however, the hammer fell at prices that were below expectations, and 26 vehicles could not be knocked down. This auction report analyzes the results of the two-day sales event and shows some of the lots in the picture.
