On the occasion of the Concours d'Elégance Amelia Island, David Gooding and Charlie Ross auctioned 122 cars, four motorcycles and a popcorn car for Gooding & Company on February 29 and March 1, 2024. Together, the vehicles were valued at over USD 87 million, but a few expensive cars were left standing, which is why the final result after two days was USD 66.7 million. 108 vehicles (85%) were sold for an average of USD 617,808. A high sales rate had been expected, as 60% of the vehicles went under the hammer without a minimum bid. 30 pre-war cars (up to 1945) balanced out the very young 23 vehicles built after 2000, so that the average age was 56 years. 31 vehicles date from the fifties and sixties.
