134 cars worth almost USD 70 million went under the hammer at Bonhams at the Quail Lodge in Carmel on August 24, 2018 during Pebble Beach Week, including one of the coveted Ferrari 250 GT SWB, but also quite affordable everyday classics. With a sales rate of over 80 percent and average hammer prices in the lower estimate range, Bonhams did well in the current market environment, even though the SWB failed to sell, with a top bid of USD 8.7 million. On the other hand, there were record prices for other cars that were hardly expected. This auction article analyzes the results and shows all the cars in pictures.
