Preview (beginning of the article)
Broad Arrow Auctions' first auction of 2024 lasted two days. 132 of the 150 vehicles on offer were sold for a total of almost USD 64 million, almost double the previous year's result. BAA's offering consisted primarily of super classics, with two motorcycles among the 150 vehicles on offer. Two rare racing Porsches (934 Turbo RSR and 908/02 Langheck) were withdrawn before the auction. The vehicles on offer were estimated at a total of USD 66.4 million. 57% of the lots were auctioned without a reserve price. On average, bidders offered 81.4% of the median estimate. Four brands accounted for almost half of the bidding. Mercedes-Benz was represented with 27 vehicles, Porsche with 22, Ferrari (incl. Dino) with 11 and Ford with 10 cars.
