In the run-up to the Grand Prix Historique in Monaco, Artcurial auctioned off the sports car collection of the Swede Staffan Wittmark, which mainly consisted of super classics from Porsche, Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz, including models such as the 250 GT SWB, California Spyder, 300 SL and Carrera RS. As all the cars went under the hammer without a reserve price, there were also some big surprises, with some sought-after rarities finding new owners for significantly less than their value.
