As is well known, circuit races have been banned in Switzerland since the accident at Le Mans in 1955. Therefore, hill climbs are often the only way to present historic racing, especially in the classic car scene. The Lenzerheide Motor Classics 2011, which will be held for the first time on July 2-3, 2011, aims to create an interesting combination of circuit and hill climb. The race will take place on a circuit of around 2.45 km in length. In the first year, the classification will be without timekeeping. The event is intended to showcase the performance of historic cars and racing motorcycles.
