Photo Gallery «Grossglockner Grand Prix 2015 - Pre-war racing cars, fog and snow like 80 years ago»
The famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road was opened 80 years ago. After five years of construction, the north-south connection was opened to traffic on August 3, 1935. The first Grossglockner race was held shortly afterwards. The 80th anniversary Grand Prix took place in 2015, with record participation, but in cool and damp conditions. This didn't stop the tough guys from stepping on the gas, as this event report with over 170 photos impressively shows.
