On February 25, 2023, classic cars and racing cars worth millions drifted wildly around the snow oval at "The I.C.E." in St. Moritz. Daniel Reinhard was there. But before he could start taking photos, he first had to gain access to the track and paddock - which proved to be more complicated than initially assumed. He describes his experiences in this picture story.

We really had to pull out all the stops for the pictures of this event. But first things first ...

This letter confirmed my accreditation as a media representative for "zwischengas". This gave me access to the main entrance...

...a gold bracelet and a badge and was able to enter as usual.

But now it was already the end of the fire again, because as I walked towards the cars, I was told that I needed a white wristband, which I would get at the press office.

Three passes, each with a different small authorization. An orange protective vest was then required for the route. But of course there were none left.

That's when my mood started to dampen a little. After all, with over 1500 motorsport events photographed, nothing like this had ever happened to me before.

I actually just wanted to do my best and publicize the event via our platform.

I didn't feel like skiing on the spring-like Corviglia at all...

...and I really didn't need to sunbathe either.

Especially as I wanted to show our readers the sensational cars on site.

But when I spotted helpers in yellow vests after three lost hours, I had an idea. I got my Pantheon vest out of the car and was suddenly welcomed like a king.
