Photo Gallery «Jaguar XJ6 4.2 - A departure into the modern age»
When Jaguar unveiled the new XJ6 saloon in Paris in October 1968, the Coventry-based company's great hopes rested on this model, which was bound to bring in big sales. And of course, no expense was spared to make the XJ both sporty and comfortable. The career of the four-door model, which was of course also built with a twelve-cylinder engine, lasted 23 years. This driving report is dedicated to the early XJ6 4.2 Series 1 and shows it in many winter and historical photos as well as in the advertising of the time.
